Wellbeing Services County of Vantaa and Kerava select OneClinic as supplier of oral healthcare logistics system
The Wellbeing Services County of Vantaa and Kerava has selected OneClinic as its supplier for an oral health logistics system. Their main initiative is to reduce manual work so that staff can focus more on their core tasks. The choice of system was influenced by the ability to serve the needs of the whole welfare area far into the future.
The Wellbeing Services County of Vantaa and Kerava has selected OneClinic as its supplier for an oral healthcare logistics system. The procurement is part of a wider healthcare reform programme. The procurement was driven by the need to move from manual processes to digital solutions that streamline operations and enable evidence-based management.
”Until now, healthcare logistics have been managed entirely manually, which poses challenges such as obsolescence of supplies and inventory management. Healthcare staff have to spend significant time and resources on manual calculations, which distracts them from focussing on their core tasks. In addition, the ongoing review of the welfare area service network and future consolidation of services will significantly increase the demands on logistics management. The new logistics system aims to reduce manual work, improve inventory rotation, and improve inventory management, which in turn will reduce the value of inventory and increase operational productivity”, says the Regional Director Helena Salusjärvi-Juopperi.
OneClinic was selected based on its reporting capabilities, its integration with other systems in the wellbeing area, and its ability to comprehensively manage healthcare logistics. In addition, the system enables the management of internal transfers between sites, which will offer significant benefits in the future in the context of service network reform.
”We wanted to find a system that not only serves the needs of oral health care, but the needs of the entire wellness area in the big picture and far into the future. Based on the competition, OneClinic’s system offers not only a precise solution for oral health care, but the use of the system can be extended to the services of the wellness area more broadly if necessary”, Salusjärvi-Juopperi continued.
The CEO of OneClinic, Veli-Matti Pietilä, is happy about the new clientele and the far-reaching selection criteria.
”We are delighted that we were selected as the supplier of the new logistics system for them. The industry is now making a lot of savings as a result of the health reform, and even pessimism can be observed. In many cases, strict austerity measures kill genuine development, which can be seen in the fact that productivity does not improve but the public sector swells even more, which is why it has been in the news recently. In the case of Vantaa and Kerava, we dare to invest in development. We have proven evidence of large savings and quick repayments in our previous customer projects. We believe that this will also be the case in this case. There are such large savings in time use and logistics costs that the investment quickly pays for itself”, Pietilä states with satisfaction.
