Sydänsairaala hospital Chose OneClinic Logistics

Sydänsairaala hospital is streamlining its logistics of medical supplies with the OneClinic Logistics system. The hospital decided to acquire the system through a public procurement process. OneClinic and Sydänsairaala signed the procurement agreement after Midsummer. The system is scheduled to be in production use by December 2025.

Service Manager Mikko Ihatsu, responsible for procurement, logistics, and equipment maintenance services at Heart Hospital, says expectations for the system are high.

“Our cooperation has started well,” he said.

As its name suggests, Sydänsairaala (meaning: Heart Hospital) specializes in cardiac care. The hospital is owned by the wellbeing services counties of Pirkanmaa, Central Finland, and Kanta-Häme. Its offices are located in Tampere, Jyväskylä, Hämeenlinna, Riihimäki and Valkeakoski. Over 700 professionals in cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery work at the hospital.

OneClinic Logistics will be implemented at Tays Sydänsairaala and Jyväskylä and Hämeenlinna Sydänsairaalas. The system will be used to manage the supply chains and inventories of specialized medical supplies used in cardiac procedures.

”On the logistics and procurement side, around twenty people will be using the new system. In addition, some clinical staff will interact with it, perhaps even without realizing it—through integrations,” says Mikko Ihatsu.

”We wanted the system to offer modern solutions, optimization, and development potential,” he adds.

OneClinic’s CEO Veli-Matti Pietilä praises the strong start to the collaboration with Sydänsairaala.

”It’s also great to see how well our system meets the needs of Sydänsairaala,” he says with joy.
