Aila-Maria Lintula tells about her experiences as an intern at OneClinic.
Aila-Maria Lintula is a data processing student from Oulu University of Applied Sciences
Aila-Maria Lintula is a last year data processing (IT tradenom) student from Oulu University of Applied Sciences. Currently she only has an internship and thesis remaining out of her studies. Her internship at OneClinic started in the beginning of September and will last until end of January of 2025. The internship in its entirety lasts 20 weeks.
How did Aila-Maria end up at OneClinic?
Aila-Maria found OneClinic through their job announcement. She, however, didn’t think she had enough of experience in the field to seek for a full-time job yet, she decided to ask for the possibility of doing her internship at the company. She felt that field training was a very important part of her studies, and this brought her to the OneClinic team.
”My job description during this internship has been rather versatile. Most of my colleagues work remotely, but on Mondays and Fridays all of us are at the office, which has brought a nice rhythm to working here”, Aila-Maria tells.
Goals and expectations for internship
Aila-Maria had clear goals for her internship with us. Testing is one of her major interests, and she hopes to delve deeper into it during training.
”I can do everything, except coding!”, she laughs.
Experiences based on first weeks
The first weeks have been an eye-opening experience for the intern. She has learned plenty of new things, that she had not been able to figure out at school yet.
”Together we have familiarised ourselves with the services and customer service processes offered by the company, such as ticketing. The beginning has been pleasantly calm, and I have received a good introduction. I have independently studied OneClinic’s demo platform and gone through customer service tickets from a learning perspective,” she describes the beginning of the internship.
Her current project focuses on market mapping and establishing contact information, which has also provided valuable experience in data acquisition and analysis.
Aila-Maria’s greetings for others interested in internship
What would she have to say for those people who are interested in internships or working at OneClinic?
”OneClinic has had a really welcoming feeling from the beginning. The co-workers are nice, and you can always get help when needed. It’s also great that there is flexibility in working – the remote work option brings freedom to everyday life,” Aila-Maria sums up her experiences.
Aila-Maria’s internship at OneClinic is a great example on how the transition to working life can be a smooth and educational experience. OneClinic offers its interns flexible working conditions and the opportunity to learn a wide range of different areas of the industry.
