Technical specifications for the rollout of the system are now being defined. The system will be in full use by the end of this year.
Stella’s Medical Director Mika Perttu says that the company wants to offer new kinds of services to its clients and utilise the best technologies in its service production. OneClinic Care – an advanced resource planning system for the social and healthcare sector – is a perfect match.
“We wanted to have a fresh view of our patient record system. OneClinic Care is significantly different from any old patient record systems: it is user-friendly, versatile and integrates well with other systems,” he says.
Stella specialises in at-home health services and various home care services. One of their core areas is safety phones for elderly people: their clients include over 170 municipalities and their emergency centre receives approximately 100,000 contacts each month.
Stella aims to use OneClinic Care for its home doctor, home hospital and safety phone services.
“And more may well follow, as we are continuously developing new services. One of the advantages of OneClinic Care is that it can be flexibly modified to meet the needs of a diverse range of services,” Medical Director Perttu points out.
CEO Veli-Matti Pietilä of OneClinic says that the company wants to be an innovative operator and change operation models in the social and healthcare sector.
“For this reason, Stella as a client and cooperation partner is well suited to our corporate philosophy and way of thinking,” he says.
OneClinic Care is extensively and successfully used in Denmark, commonly considered a model country for the digitalisation of healthcare processes. OneClinic Ltd launched OneClinic Care in Finland, developed it further and modified it to meet the requirements of the Finnish operating environment.
“OneClinic Care is much more than a traditional patient record system. One of its unique features is that it can be used to manage healthcare service processes. Client information as well as all clinical, financial and administrative data are stored in real time in the same place, unlike in other systems,” he says.
CEO Pietilä also highlights the modular nature of the system. Thanks to its modular structure, clients can opt for the modules they need, which are then integrated into their existing IT architecture.
