Diagnos Terveyspalvelut Oy, a clinic operating in Nurmijärvi and Klaukkala, Finland, is about to roll out the OneClinic Care system. The objective is that the system will be fully operational in early 2018. The current social and healthcare reform and the related freedom to choose one’s social and healthcare supplier are the main reasons for Diagnos to opt for OneClinic Care.
General Manager Anne Hillebrandt of Diagnos expects OneClinic Care to significantly help the clinic to prepare for the coming social and healthcare reform.
“Nobody knows exactly what the social and healthcare reform will bring about. OneClinic Care is a flexible system with a diverse range of features, so it is sure to accommodate whatever changes lie ahead. It also has open interfaces and is compatible with existing systems, which is not always self-evident,” says Ms Hillebrandt.
Diagnos is participating in the pilot project on freedom of choice in the Keski-Uusimaa region. The pilot was launched in October 2017. According to Hillebrandt, OneClinic Care has been very useful during the pilot.
“One of the objectives of the pilot project on freedom of choice is to collect a great amount of data. The system helps us to both produce this data and to report it,” she says.
ERP for the healthcare sector
OneClinic Care is an advanced and comprehensive resource planning system for the social and healthcare sector. It utilises enterprise resource management system tools to manage social and healthcare processes and care chains. The system combines client, product and financial data with clinical data in real time.
According to Ms Hillebrandt, Diagnos will roll out OneClinic Care throughout the entire company. Diagnos will utilise the features of the system in a number of ways in various tasks related to medical services and occupational healthcare, such as customer service, ledger management and accounting.
“One of the strengths of OneClinic Care is that it can be modified and extended to meet our needs, and we can use it to comprehensively manage all of our company’s activities. It therefore replaces a number of separate programmes and systems,” she says.
According to Hillebrandt, OneClinic Care will also support Diagnos when the company expands and diversifies its range of medical and occupational healthcare services. It also allows the development of various remote services and home care.
The 40 or so experts at Diagnos serve clients in Klaukkala and Nurmijärvi. Some 30 are medical practitioners, such as physicians and therapists. In addition, Diagnos employs about ten nurses.
